Flash 16: Epiphany 2.

I have little recollection of the exact details of this specific geometry lesson during my time in high school, except for this statement that the teacher made, "the shortest distance between any two flat points is a straight line." This particular phrase lingered in my mind way past the lesson, though for me, it's application has always been at it's most basic sense. I have often found myself applying this rule while traveling, always trying to figure out the straight lines between my starting point and final destination in order to shorten the journey.

Recently, this seemingly elementary lesson took on a profound meaning when I was engrossed in a sermon. It suddenly struck me that the shortest and most direct route to realizing our divine purpose and fulfillment in life lies in adhering to the Word of God, which serves as our True North, our guiding principle. Many individuals often find themselves embroiled in a quest for fulfilment, constantly groping in the darkness searching for their purpose and destiny which are often perceived as being far beyond their reach. Consequently, they find themselves ensnared in perpetual cycles of dissatisfaction and futility.

While there continues to be a proliferation of information on methods and ways to find purpose and fulfillment in life, yet most of these information leads to more inner turmoil than true satisfaction. However, it need not be so, for there exists a more sure path – the path of the Word of God. By wholeheartedly embracing the Word and diligently following its spiritual guidance and precepts, we inevitably set ourselves on a path marked by enhanced fulfillment and purpose. By following the ways of the Lord as prescribed in His Word, we escape the snare of fruitless endeavors that merely squander our potential and confine us to desolation.

Simply adhere to the Word, for it constitutes the most direct route to purpose and fulfillment. It doesn't get straighter than the Word!

Psalm 18:30
As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.
